I AM writing with regards to the South Ribble councillor who has sent a rallying cry throughout the borough about litter louts.
Coun Forrest should also do the same about dog fouling on the pavements (Citizen, February 10).
Time after time complaints are lodged with South Ribble Borough Council about this obnoxious habit. Dog owners allow their pets to perform their toilet on the pavements and leave it there for children and others to pick it up on their shoes, etc. I have written to the council three times and telephoned the office.
I have been informed that they are "looking into the problem."
I have been informed that there are only two dog wardens. Extra dog wardens should be employed and higher penalties should be enforced.
Forget the litter, this problem is more important.
