A DEFIANT message was sent to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher by Lancashire county council leader Louise Ellman: "Justify your £80 million cut in Government support for Lancashire or keep out of our affairs."
The message came four days before the county council was due to meet to debate the £827.8 million budget put forward by the ruling Labour group.
