MANAGER David Moyes is determined to play a 'wait and see' game with latest trialist Chris Iwelumo.
The 21-year-old, currently playing for Danish club Aarhus, played in Tuesday's reserve game against Port Vale, scoring the third goal.
But while he impressed those in the stands, David Moyes is ready to splash the cash ... yet.
He said: "I will continue to look at him over the week and see what I think.
"I will make my decision at the start of next week.
"He will watch us on Saturday and see what he thinks.
"That is all there is to say at the moment."
The St Mirren man could prove just what North End need up front, as he is a big, powerful striker, and could complement Jon Macken very well.
North End are currently without Kurt Nogan, who is injured, while Steve Basham is only just breaking into the first team again.
And Bjarki Gunnlaugsson is currently struggling to find the net.
