LEIGH RMI were left reeling from Saturday's "fair" 1-1 draw at Bishop Auckland.
Minutes from time the North East side grabbed the equaliser after Ricky Harris had conceded a free kick just outside the box.
The goal upset Leigh manager Steve Waywell, whose side had taken a 55th minute lead through Tony Black.
"It was a harsh decision," he said. "The referee was still pushing our wall back when they took the free kick and it went straight in.
"But I would have settled for a point before kick-off. In the end I felt a draw was a fair result.
"They did a good job on us and our goal came against the run of play. We got the breaks at the right time but we can play much better."
The woodwork saved RMI twice and goalkeeper Dave Felgate kept out a stunning drive with his legs.
RMI took the lead when Black latched onto a Mark Patterson ball over the top before beating the keeper from just inside the box.
They then had their best spell of the game, taking control until the fateful 87th minute which caught the defence off guard.
