BLACKBURN Rovers launched their latest guide to success for youngsters in their "Learning Through Football" Scheme, which began in 1992.
Rovers player Marlon Broomes met pupils from St Francis C E Primary School, Blackburn, to launch the 1999/2000 season scheme, sponsored by Asda superstore.
This year's workbook includes questions on history, maths, health and geography, all with a sports slant designed to get football-mad youngsters interested in school work.
The books are sent to dozens of schools in East Lancashire and this year 5,000 pupils are expected to visit Ewood Park for an educational tour as part of the scheme.
