CYBER cupids Keith Peacock and Jelena Pasic, above, were tying the knot today after their love for Blackburn Rovers blossomed into their own romance.
And the couple, who met after exchanging e-mails, celebrated their wedding with a reception at Ewood Park.
Their amazing tale of passion began a year ago when Jelena sent messages to fellow fans all over the world through an unofficial Rovers e-mail list as allied forces began bombing Belgrade, where she was living.
The 30-year-old, who also e-mailed the Lancashire Evening Telegraph about the effects of the bombing raids last April, asked other supporters to remember her and not to judge the Serbians too harshly.
One of her messages was read by Graham Peacock who sent back a message of support.
The couple were soon exchanging e-mails regularly and then began telephoning each other and swapping photographs. Graham, 50, a sales manager, said: "I began to realise that it was something more than just a friendship and that she had become special to me. When I first saw a photograph of her, I just thought 'wow'."
Jelena, a languages professor, visited Britain in September for two weeks and saw her team for the first time when they beat Tranmere Rovers.
The couple decided to marry and Graham travelled to Belgrade for a week for Jelena's 30th birthday in December before Jelena returned to Britain just before Christmas.
Jelena, who lives with Graham in Brackenbury Road, Preston, said she found Lancashire quieter and windier than Belgrade, but she was happy to be with the man she loved.
Jelena, who will wear her grandmother's antique silk dress for the ceremony, said: "It's not important to me where we are, it's important how we are feeling, and I'm feeling great."
