STOCKPORT boss Andy Kilner had nothing but complaints after his team became Rovers' first "double" victims of the season.

But that was hardly surprising as he had spent most of the afternoon animatedly berating a set of officials who, despite what he said, generally did a good job in a scrappy affair.

Even Kilner's touchline antics, however, were overshadowed by Shane Nicholson's blunder which settled the game.

"We didn't get anything at all (from the referee) and there was one incident which looked a tackle from behind and a penalty to me," said a frustrated Kilner, whose side have now taken just three points from the last 24 on offer.

"But, at the end of it, another individual mistake has cost us.

"Shane has to deal with that situation. He tried to get hold of the ball when he should have cleared it.

"But that's why their players cost so much money.

"We were also lacking a little bit of luck. I thought we were worth a point at least. But we keep committing individual errors and expect to get away with it.

"Sides like Blackburn make you pay and we have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

"Considering the amount of money they have spent we have to take some credit.

"We played well in the first half and restricted them to very little.

"But, in the second half, we allowed their two central midfield players to dominate our three and we can't afford to do that.

"I still thought we would have come out with a point if we hadn't gifted them a goal at the end."
