ADVANCED motorcyclist Peter John Laidlaw was caught doing 95mph on his Honda bike on the A59 at Gisburn.
And the 44-year-old manager of a Burnley engineering test facility told Blackburn magistrates his conviction for speeding would cause him a great deal of embarrassment.
Laidlaw, of Poet's Road, Burnley, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined £220 with £30 costs and had six penalty points endorsed on his licence.
Laidlaw told the court that he works for the British Motorcycle Federation, actively promoting the safe use of motorcycles.
