CANCER victims have enough to endure without having to travel far for treatment.
So the disclosure that sufferers in East Lancashire are soon to get specialist help in their own region is a welcome and overdue move.
The NHS has many pressures and demands placed upon it, but the focus must be on areas of greatest need. With cancer afflicting one in three people, it is right that efforts like this are made to ease the lot of its victims.
