Lancashire Lynx 12pts, Workington Town 34
LYNX slumped back to the bottom of the Northern Ford Premiership after losing at home to previous occupants Workington Town.
This was Town's first league victory of the season and they were helped on their way by a dismal performance in the first 20 minutes which must rank as the worst in the club's history.
Workington helped themselves to five tries in that period as Lynx's defence was almost non-existent. They did improve after the interval but the game was already beyond retrieval.
Coach Steve Hampson said: "It was a disastrous first half performance which saw our defence totally fail to operate."
