A NEW social services scheme for young people who need special levels of care and support will be launched in Burnley this week.
Care Plus will provide a specialist residential and foster care service to 13-17-year-olds who need extra support to improve their health, education and life chances.
The scheme is based in a residential centre from where project workers will operate in partnership with foster carers and social workers as well as health and education services.
The scheme will be officially launched by the chairman of Lancashire county's social services committee Doreen Pollitt at the Easden Clough resource centre, Morse Street, on Friday.
