STAFF at a document management firm have come to the end of their own M65 journey!
Cad-Capture has finished scanning thousands of technical drawings and photographs of the M65 for engineers Brown & Root.
Brown & Root, who were involved in the construction of the motorway extension, needed an effective way to manage over 70 technical manuals and around 700 drawings before they moved to new premises.
The manuals consisted of around 40 drawings and more than 9,000 documents, many including colour photographs.
After completing the contract to scan around half the documents, the Blackburn firm was given the task to complete the rest which involved the scanning of a further 1,284 drawings and more than 80 technical manuals.
Converted for the new archive on 14 July 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
