MEET the smokebusters!
Burnley-based filter firm Interfilta has joined forces with a firm called Air Care 1 to launch a new product to remove tobacco smoke from public areas.
The Intercept smoke unit the firms have developed removes particles and gases caused by tobacco smoke.
The units are installed in premises by Interfilta's Seasonmaster installation arm.
"This product should radically improve relations between smokers and non-smokers particularly within a leisure environment," said marketing manager Norman White.
"It removes unpleasant smoke and the smell of it - as well as the harmful gases which are inhaled with damaging results, especially for passive smokers."
The products is aimed at locations including pubs, hotels, betting shops, bingo halls, casinos and staff canteens.
