BRAVE Bacup girl Jenny Hill is one of seven battling youngsters who have beaten the odds to be honoured at a ceremony.
Bolton, Wigan and Lancashire winners of the prestigious National Child of Achievement Awards were presented with medals from local VIPs at a store in Bolton.
Among them was Jenny, 15, who has tackled rock climbing, trampolining and abseiling despite having had a leg amputated as a baby.
Jenny, who attends Alder Grange High School , Rawtenstall, was born three months premature, which led to circulation problems.
She had her right leg amputated at the hip and has had a succession of artificial limbs.
Recently she received a Millennium Child of Achievement Award from former Prime Minister John Major in London.
Jenny, was one of eight children presented with her ambassador medal at the C&A store in Bolton town centre.
