BARONESS Castle, former MP for Blackburn and Cabinet minister, will speak at a Women of the Century lunch in the Windsor Suite of King George's Hall, Blackburn, on Wednesday, March 8.
The lunch is sponsored by businesses in Blackburn and Darwen and is in recognition of women's achievements throughout the 20th century.
It has been organised to celebrate the Millennium International Women's Festival.
Sponsors were able to nominate two women for awards which will be made at the lunch.
Organiser Angela Ingram, said: "Names of recipients are being kept secret until the event."
Janet Anderson, MP for Darwen and Rossendale will also attend the lunch.
