STAFF at a Sabden school marked the end of 123 years of history with an exhibition at their new buildings.
St Mary's Primary School has moved from its old site in terrace houses on Pendle Street East to new buildings in Watt Street.
Former pupils, local residents and other interested people attended an exhibition at the new school to reminisce about the old headquarters.
Teachers, including the head Mrs Christina Bradley, wore Victorian costume for the day.
She said: "It was a much enjoyed event. We had two former pupils in their 80s come along and the school's two youngest pupils planted a tree."
Mrs Bradley is pictured with oldest ex-pupils Frank Bywater and Ada Graham, 83 and 85, respectively, and youngest pupils Patrick Keane and Jasmin Armitage, five and four.
