NEW computers will help adults with learning difficulties thanks to brewer Whitbread and its charity volunteers.
Susan Wilton, a customer services clerk at the company's Samlesbury brewery, is also a volunteer fund-raiser for the nearby CARE Stanley Grange centre, which supports the learning disabled. Susan, from Garstang, has already raised £675 for Stanley Grange this year and Whitbread has given her an extra £100 for the charity.
Whitbread's regional community affairs director Peter Watkins said: "Whitbread encourages all of its staff to help with local community projects.
"The Whitbread Awards for Volunteer Effort are one of the ways we recognise their charity work."
The cash will be used to help furnish the new IT resource centre for use by Stanley Grange residents and day visitors.
