CYCLISTS at Samuel Cooke and Co Ltd, oil distributors of Padiham, raised £1,365 for Pendleside Hospice, Reedley.
Four staff completed a sponsored coast to coast ride of 167 miles from Whitehaven to Sunderland to raise more than £900 with the remainder of the money coming from a Christmas raffle. Pedal pushers were Paul Clare, fuel office manager, Jack Winder, workshop manager, Daniel Norris, apprentice mechanic and Chris Ward, an Accrington GP and friend of Jack.
Van driver and back-up man was David Jones, logistics director. The company "adopted" the hospice as its charity some time ago and has held various money-raising events.
Pictured are, from the left, group chairman Frank Carroll, Paul Clare, Gill Avery, Danny Norris and hospice appeals and marketing director Mark Sandamas.
