STREET lighting along the A646 from Burnley to Todmorden is being improved in a £400,000 scheme.
The modernisation work is being carried out by Balfour Kilpatrick Ltd and is due for completion by the end of April.
Highways Agency project manager Ziad El-Balbisi, commented: "This is a major contract to modernised the street lighting as part of our policy to maintain the trunk road and motorway network to the highest standard."
