FOUR members of a jet-setting East Lancashire showbiz family took time out from their busy schedule to make their mother's dream come true.
Husband and wife cabaret team Elaine and Terry Slater joined Elaine's sister Gloria Ford and brother Gary Kirkby at the family home in Blackburn Road, Darwen, after hearing their 75-year-old mum Eileen Lees had been diagnosed with cancer.
The four are all professional artistes who travel the world on tour and very rarely find themselves in the same place at the same time. But they decided to get together in their costumes to have their photograph taken for Mrs Lees.
Elaine, also of Blackburn Road, Darwen, explained: "We are all really busy all the time. My husband, brother and I are about to go off to Portugal on tour so it's rare we can all get together like this.
"But mum has been very fed-up since she found out she had cancer and we thought it would perk her up. We decided we would all get together, get dressed up in costume and have our photograph to make her dream come true."
Elaine and Terry form the Caine and Angel comedy tribute show and include impressions of Sonny and Cher in their act while Gary, of Hodder Avenue, Chorley, is Elvis, and Gloria, who lives with her mum does Patsy Cline.
