COLLECTORS of stamps, envelopes, postcards, coins and cigarette cards, can take advantage of a free valuation when auctioneers Warwick and Warwick visit East Lancashire.
Old picture postcards can have value, especially those containing busy street scenes showing trams, horse-drawn transport, shop-fronts and people in period dress. The value is not affected whether or not the card has been used, as the stamp used could be very common, even today.
Anyone who owns an old album of postcards dating from the turn of the century to the early 1950s, who would like to turn it into cash, can take it along for an expert appraisal. Sales can also be organised for those interested.
Warwick and Warwick will visit the County Hotel, Preston New Road, Blackburn, on Monday, from 9am to 3pm. They will also visit the Oaks Hotel, Colne Road, Reedley, on Tuesday, from 10am to 3pm.
