A 19-YEAR-OLD man ran into a Blackburn petrol station and shouted at the assistant to get an ambulance because he was going to die.
Blackburn magistrates heard that the assistant instead called the police, who were told by the man that he had taken "Es" and needed an ambulance.
Suhail Vohra, of Carlton Gardens, Blackburn, was fined £60 with £50 costs after pleading guilty to possession of cannabis, which he had in his possession when arrested.
Basharat Ditta, defending, said Vohra's bizarre behaviour had been promoted by a session drinking mesqualla tequila with friends in a flat across from the garage.
"I understand , though I have never had occasion to taste it, that this drink can have certain influences on people," said Mr Ditta. "Combined with the cannabis it had an effect on my client and even the police called the paramedics to make sure he was all right."
