PUPILS from St Augustine's RC High School, Billington, won a public speaking contest.
The team of four, Jonathan Keane, Helen Flatley, Samantha Richardson and Amy Nickson, took first place at the competition arranged by the Knights of St Columba, beating teams from high schools in the Burnley area.
They now represent the district in the area final on March 5.
The team were presented with a trophy by Tony Quinn, principal youth officer of the Knights of St Columba, and grand knight Patrick Maloney.
