BRITAIN'S longest running ambulance dispute neared an end - and East Lancashire crews wanted to get back to normal working.
News that a pay deal had been thrashed out in marathon overnight talks was greeted with relief at ambulance stations throughout the area, but staff warned that a ballot on the agreement could have been close.
