IS anyone as confused as I am about what is going on in Ireland?
According to a Unionist interviewed on the radio, Sinn Fein has not broken the Good Friday agreement by not handing over arms because this need not be done until May. I am sure we are only in February.
Another Unionist said he could not sit down with members connected with people who possessed an arsenal of weapons. Does that mean that all the Unionist terrorists have handed over their weapons?
It's time the politicians on both sides stopped taking intransigent stances for the purposes of one-upmanship and gave the 90 per cent of ordinary people of Ireland, who have no interest in unionism, or republicanism, the peace they want.
There are in the world plenty of uninhabited islands. Maybe one should be offered to the terrorists of both sides so that they can play war games without hurting innocent people.
