LEEDS boss David O'Leary, having realised how daft he looked following his ridiculous and outspoken defence of Lee Bowyer's awful tackle against Tottenham has changed to a rather more diplomatic tack.

From now on, O'Leary says he will not make any such judgments until he has had chance to see them on television.

And, presumably, he will afford referees the same benefit before having a go at them in future.

What do you mean, what am I doing defending referees . . ?
