CARA Ann Booth turned to prostitution to try and fund her heroin addiction, a court heard.
But Blackburn magistrates were told the 19-year-old mother of an 18-month-old child now realised the importance of getting off the drug.
Booth, of Andrew Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to soliciting for the purpose of prostitution and was fined £75. But the magistrates remitted £150 of the existing fine she owed to the court.
Stephen Parker, defending, said it was a tragic situation when a woman of Booth's age turned to prostitution.
He said she was now on a methadone reduction programme to try and get off heroin.
