BLACKBURN MP Jack Straw gave his support to the campaign to extend the M65. Speaking at the public inquiry in the town, he said there was a question of balancing the social, economic and environmental needs of East Lancashire and the proposed route of the M65 provided the answer. He argued that the M65 was never intended to end at Whitebirk.
