POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run accident in which a 44-year-old motorcyclist was injured.
Michael Hayden of Fulwood was thrown from his machine in Accrington Road, Burnley, after a white van emerged from a side street and collided with the bike.
Mr Hayden was taken to Burnley General Hospital and allowed home after treatment for minor injuries.
The accident occurred yesterday morning close to the junction with Clough Street as the motorcyclist travelled towards Accrington.
The van, thought to have been either a Transit or Luton vehicle, failed to stop and drove away up Clough Street.
