SOCCER players from Preston are aiming to make the town proud once again, by scooping a top American trophy.
Two teams of footballers from Preston College are taking on America's finest college teams in the country at the President's Day Tournament in Phoenix, USA.
Some 34 footballers, 7 coaching staff and 13 HND sport and media students are making the trip.
And for some of them it isn't the first time they have taken on the Americans.
Among the party is David Rhodes (pictured with mum Shirley), who has travelled to Phoenix twice before.
The players have been given expensive isotonic drinks from a local firm to help them combat the hot and humid conditions in the US.
