YOUNG cricketers from Farington are experiencing a taste of the Caribbean.
Four junior teams from Farington BTR Cricket Club have jetted out to the West Indies to take part in the Tobago inter-school tournament.
They were invited out after Windies coach Clement Hercules saw them in action last summer in Farington while he was working in Euxton.
Clive Kallman, from BTR, said: "It is a great opportunity for, a once in a lifetime thing.
"We have been practising hard and know it will be hard work."
The youngsters have had to work hard for their trip, rasing all the money needed by themselves. Among the charity events they took part in was a sponsored bag pack at ASDA Clayton Green.
