NEWCHURCH WI will produce a jarbola stall for Culcheth Community Day on May 1.
This is just one of many events planned by members, whose diary includes a trip to Oswaldtwistle Mill on April 5, and visits to the Royal Exchange Theatre on June 21, Manchester Chinatown on July 11 and Pendle Hill on September 19.
Mrs P. Jackson Main spoke on 'Natural Medicines' and a competition for the best granny's herbal cure was won by Mrs S. Brown.
The next meeting is the Millennium dinner on March 8 in the parish hall.
