SPORT England has given Tarleton Rugby Union and Football Club more than £150,000 towards building new facilities.
The £154,082 lottery grant will help pay for two new rugby pitches and a flood-lit training area, which costs almost £240,000.
Everyone involved in the Tarleton sports club project are thrilled to hear the news.
A spokesman for the club said: "We submitted application forms for a lottery grant over four years ago and were delighted with the news. All that is left for us to do is roll up our sleeves and build it!"
In support, South Ribble MP David Borrow said: "I was extremely pleased to hear that the club has been awarded this money, and glad I was able to lend support with their bid."
