PRESTON Disabled Sports Forum (PDSF) is £500 better off thanks to staff at West View Leisure Centre.
The centre won £1,000 in the BT Gold Pools Awards, including £500 for new equipment and £500 to a local charity of the pool's choice.
West View now boasts stainless steel wheelchair, allowing disabled visitors to sit down in the showers and have access to the small pool.
The PDSF, as well as spending its £500 on development needs, will be able to use the chair in its regular session from 6pm to 8pm on Saturdays.
Jonathan Brooks, assistant duty officer at West View, said: "We are immensely proud to be among the first recipients of the BT award.
"It is testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff, who take our commitment to safety and training very seriously."
