EUROTWADDLE! Chris Davies's letter (Feb 4) on behalf of the Euro, claims that we poor voters are all suffering from a diet of lies, fed to us by the press.
Strangely, he fails to tell us what these lies might be.
We, the taxpayers, are paying for Mr Davies's propaganda efforts, so I think we are entitled to a better class of argument than the one he presents.
But Mr Davies's letter is fascinating. It neatly displays the dubiousness with which the Europhiles have consistently edged us towards the "United States of Europe", without ever admitting to their ultimate objective. No mention of the 'F' word (federalism) in his letter.
Conspiracy theories of history are usually suspect, but the Europhiles have been slowly dragging us into their dream state for 30 years now; meanwhile, the UK voter has never been invited to vote for, or against, serious European integration in a clean contest with no distractions.
Euro enthusiasts constantly assume that if the "facts" were broadcast, and the "lies" suppressed, we would all dutifully troop to the polling booth and vote for any Euro rubbish they throw at us.
