UP-AND-COMING chefs at Blackpool and the Fylde College have picked up awards at one of the UK's most prestigious student catering events.
John Jackson, in his final year of a Culinary Arts HND, won a silver medal in the Nestle Toque D'Or Competition's healthy catering class event after whipping up two portions of a main course.
In addition the HND culinary arts team from the college were awarded the Best Sweet/Coffee award and the college's team who are studying NVQ Food Preparation and cooking won the Nestle Best Coffee category.
