LEIGH campaigner, Eunice Gray, was fuming this week after narrowly escaping injury on one of the two badly placed crossings near her Firs Lane home.
Eunice, who now walks with the aid of two crutches, said a red "crossing not in use" sign had been left in place for three weeks, despite the fact that they were in fact operational.
Vehicles taking notice of the sign are putting lives in danger.
How can a crossing be out of use?
Drivers can't ignore the black and white markers even if bulbs in the belisha beacons are out!
