A CHEMIST from Walton-le-Dale has condemned the use of toxic synthetic pesticides in head lice treatment for children.
Instead, Roger Dawson, of the family-run Pomfrets Chemists is recommending a citrus fruit-based product called Follicel.
"In my opinion many treatments contain toxic chemicals which can be absorbed into the body and may eventually lead to liver and kidney problems," he said.
Follicel has been launched by Preston firm Marabou. For details call 0845 602 1242.
