ONLY four of 19 fixtures were completed in the St Helens Combination on Saturday.
The St Helens Star Premier Division completely washed out, but one game got off the ground in Division One. This resulted in a 3-5 home defeat for Billinge at the hands of Sportsmans Athletic.
Two penalties by Mark Roberts and an Alan Cross effort were the Billinges sides contributions to the game.
In Division Two Craig Jordan of Bowling Green scored the only goal of the game as his side won 1-0 at Pilkington A.
Two Division Three games completed the day's tally. Although having a player sent off, Grosvenor Park just about deserved their 0-1 away success at Cowley Hill Park and in the fourth away success out of four games, Carr Mill Reserves (Chris Pimblett 3, Barry Kilbride and Anth Tilston) fully deserved their 5-2 win at Bewsey FC for whom Adrian Green and Philip Pope replied.
In the Sunday Division all games were postponed.
