NOTHING less than a 100 per cent improvement will do for Bury player boss Andy Preece at Wycombe Wanderers wtomorrow.
After Tuesday evening's miserable home defeat at the hands of struggling Cambridge United Preece is keen for his charges to get back on track and will shake up the team in order to do it.
Definitely missing from tomorrow's game are midfielder Darren Bullock who is suspended, Andy Woodward (gastro-enteritis) is still short of full fitness while fellow defender Chris Swailes underwent a hernia operation on Tuesday and will be out for four or five weeks.
Both Sam Collins and Dean Barrick managed to get in ninety minutes of reserve action on Wednesday in a 3-1 victory over Chester City.
Scorers for the Shakers were Martyn Forrest (penalty), Gary Messer and Brian Linighan.
Forrest looks certain to replace Bullock in the middle of the park and there could be one or two more changes of personnel from midweek.
"We've got to get the lads going again after Tuesday night," explained Preece. "We need to prove to everyone that that performance was a blip.
"There's no use getting down about it, everyone is still upbeat but there will be changes for tomorrow after that display. "The performances have been good and results not too bad until Tuesday but we've worked hard on the training ground this week and we'll sort it out."
The Chairboys are managed by former Wimbledon FA Cup final hero Lawrie Sanchez who has one or two selection problems of his own.
Influential defender Jamie Bates and midfielder Paul Emblen have both been out injured for weeks and there are doubts about former Burnley full-back Chris Vinnicombe (knee), defender Matt Lawrence who has eight stitches in an ankle wound and striker Andy Baird who has whiplash injuries after a clash of heads during last week's 0-0 draw at Brentford.
"Any team managed by Lawrie Sanchez will have a good spirit and work hard for each other," added Preece.
"They will be a difficult side to break down but we've been doing well on our travels and will be looking to put Tuesday's result out of our system."
Back in September goals from Preece and Bullock gave the Shakers a 2-0 victory over the Chairboys at Gigg Lane.
Shakers fans who aren't making the trip to Adams Park can watch the full ninety minutes on video in the Bury FC Social Club on Tuesday evening, 8pm start.
