TWO Lytham Hall Park primary school pupils have arranged a night with a difference in aid of the Macmillan Windmill Appeal.

James, 11, and Matthew Edgar, seven, have organised an "Arabian Night" to raise money for the appeal.

As well as dressing in Arab costumes and enjoying Arab music and food, those attending can also enjoy camel racing!

The camels won't be real, of course, but mechanical ones which run on a circular track operated by "jockeys" using wheels.

People will be able to pay to be a jockey and can also place bets on each race.

The brothers' mother Pauline explained: "The boys wanted to raise money for the appeal and they got in touch with their uncle, Paul Corrigan, who arranges these events. "We have also arranged costumes for people to wear and there will be Arab music played so it should be a really great atmosphere.

"We are now trying to get individuals or companies to sponsor the camels. Beazer Homes have already agreed to sponsor one and we hope more companies will come forward."

The event will take place at Lytham Hall park school on March 17.

Meanwhile tickets are selling fast for Wayne Bradley's raffle featured in The Citzen of February 10.

Lots of brilliant prizes can be won and tickets costing £1 are available by ringing Deonne Bradley on (07967) 858839.

Radio Wave presenter Gary Burgess will be making the draw which will be held at the Iceland food store in Blackpool on March 24.
