NEXT-DOOR neighbours Roy Heald and Danny Miller (pictured) are young at heart - grey-haired Roy is really a teenager while exam student Danny has just turned four!
Roy, of Stirling Street, Mill Hill, Blackburn, is 76 years old - born on February 29, 1924.
This year, he is enjoying his 19th official birthday and is swapping presents with 16-year-old Danny, who was also born on February 29.
Roy joked: "I've always been advanced for my age! I was the youngest man on the ship when I served in the Royal Navy during the war - I was only four and a half when I joined up!"
Danny is just as advanced - his parents are giving him a personal computer for his fourth birthday and he is studying for his GCSEs this year at Darwen Vale High School.
Danny said: "Being born in a leap year doesn't make that much difference to me. I still celebrate my birthday at the end of February every year."
