VOLUNTEERS across East Lancashire are being sought for the Whitbread Volunteer Action Awards 2000.
As part of the country's community volunteering awards, Whitbread is searching for unsung heroes who selflessly give their time, skill and enthusiasm to help others - so their work can be recognised.
Anyone can be nominated, from individuals and organisations to companies making an outstanding contribution to their community.
The winners will be invited to attend a dinner at the Mariott County Hall in London and they will be presented with their awards from Princess Michael of Kent on June 7.
Nominations can be made by calling the 24-hour hotline on 0870 2411124 or by visiting the website at www.whitbread-volunteerawards.
