PAST pupils of four Blackburn junior schools are being asked to come up with ideas for a millennium reunion.
Peter Hearne, of Heys Lane, Blackburn, has organised two reunions in the past for pupils of Accrington Road, Intack, Furthergate and Lambeth Street schools.
And now he is aiming to reunite past pupils and teahcers from as far back as the turn of the century with the pupils of today for a millennium celebration.
He said: "I want to mark the millennium by remembering the history of the schools and it will help the children of today learn about the past."
Mr Hearne hopes to launch tree-planting schemes close to the schools as part of his plans and wants other people to come forward with ideas.
He is holding a meeting for anybody interested in getting involved at Furthergate Working Men's Club, Cherry Street, Blackburn on Wednesday May 24.
