TWO teenage brothers have appeared in court charged with attacking a 20-year-old man in Accrington early on Saturday.
David Wilding, 19, and Carl Daniel Bates, 17, both of Sandy Lane, Accrington, are jointly charged with unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm to Kelvin McWilliams.
The attack is alleged to have taken place in Willows Lane, Fern Gore, at around 5.15am.
Mr McWilliams, 20, from Oswaldtwistle, was yesterday in Blackburn Royal Infirmary with multiple wounds. He also sustained a stab wound.
The brothers were bailed on condition they live with their mother, stay indoors between 7pm and 7am, and do not communicate with Mr McWilliams or prosecution witnesses. They are due to face committal proceedings on April 10.
Police are still investigating the incident, which is believed to have involved three attackers.
