IF your school or college is planning a special event to celebrate World Book Day on March 10 this year, we are issuing an additional challenge to write your own report of this and, like real journalists, meet your deadline of Saturday March 11. Extracts from your reports will be published in our NIE column and on our internet web site.
Reports can be written by students, pupils or groups of pupils of any age and from any school or college within our circulation area.
Try to write in a lively journalistic style, telling us what was particularly exciting about your event, and ensure that all information is accurate (particularly names), legible and correctly spelled.
Don't forget to include your name(s), age(s) and school or college. Please ask a teacher to verify and sign your report.
Your report could be around 100 to 200 words long and must reach us by the deadline of 9am Saturday, March 11.
You can use any method to send your report, our addresses are on this page, or you can bring it in to our head office in Blackburn.
Schools planning other events during the year have a chance to write about these too. We welcome news and views from anyone connected with any school or college within our circulation area. You could be a pupil or student, a teacher or governor.
If you want to write about any of the exciting educational events and projects going on in your school or college, or if you have strong views on topics of general interest, then please send your letter or report for possible publication to the NIE address.
