TECHNOLOGY expert Graham Whitehead will be addressing North West e-entrepreneurs next week.
Former QEGS pupil Graham, who is now BT's senior futurologist, is taking part in a live video broadcast to the First Tuesday meeting on March 7.
First Tuesday is an organisation launched to support entrepreneurs in the internet industry.
Mr Whitehead will be focusing on the e-commerce business opportunities which will come from the growth in telecommunications over the next three or four years.
The Blackburn-born boss is now based at BT's Martlesham laboratories. First Tuesday now has more than 40,000 members world wide and a rapidly growing following in the North West.
"The e-commerce bug has definitely struck our region as the number of people subscribing to our mailing list in the North reaches epidemic proportions," said Nick Pascoe, marketing director of First Tuesday North.
"We are staggered by the level of interest already shown and are confident that we can continue to offer businesses and entrepreneurs in the North West the resources required to develop, nurture and grow their business dreams."
Also speaking at the meeting will be Simon Cleaver, who is responsible for business development in the North West for the Stock Exchange.
Following the guest speakers, there will be a "networking" event for the audience for business people to meet potential investors and advisers.
In common with all First Tuesday meetings, entrepreneurs wear a green badge, investors a red badge and all others yellow badges!
Further details on the meeting, at the Atlantic Suite at Manchester Airport on March 7, are available through First Tuesday's website at www.firsttuesday.com
