YOUNG winners of a religious competition were presented with their prizes at the Anjaman Centre, Nelson.
The annual competition was organised by the Anjaman Islah-ul-Muslimeen group and involved more than 50 participants.
Winners of the primary school age group were nine-year-old twins Husnain Hanif and Salma Hanif, of Walter Street School, with runners-up Asim Ahmed, 11, of Walter Street, and Noman Mahmood, 10, of Bradley School.
Winners of the secondary school category were Shahab Afzah, 15, of Edge End High School, with Muneer Ahmed, 14, in second place and Asma Hanif, 12, and Habiba Hanif, 13, both of Walshaw High School in joint third place.
