MEMBERS of Darwen's Brownies and Girl Guides were forced to abandon plans for a Thinking Day procession through the town because of bad weather.
The group, which included members of more than 20 packs, had intended to march from Derwent Hall in Peabody Street, along Blackburn Road to St Cuthbert's Church in Earnsdale Road to mark the movement's annual event but decided to meet at the church because of rain. Several members also received certificates.
