A MAN allegedly sexually abused two little girls, warning one to keep quiet or monsters would come and get her, a jury was told.
John Gregory, now 51, was said to have placed plasters over one alleged victim's eyes and performed a sex act. The other girl told Burnley Crown Court of her "horrible memories."
Gregory, of Billington Avenue, Rawtenstall, denies a serious sex offence, indecent assault and indecency with a child, said to have taken place between 1985 and 1990.
The court was told the defendant claims none of the incidents described by the complainants, who are now teenagers, happened and he says they are vindictive.
Hugh McKee, defending, suggested the allegations were false.
Detective Constable David Groombridge, who interviewed Gregory, last year, said the defendant told him he had not sexually abused either of the girls.
